Eugenie Scott is the recipient of the 2018 Pojeta Award from the Paleontological Society. The Pojeta Award recognizes “exceptional professional or public service by individuals or groups in the field of paleontology above and beyond that of existing formal roles or responsibilities.
Scott, a physical anthropologist and noted educator about evolution, is chair of the advisory council and former executive director of the National Center for Science Education. She is also a fellow and member of the Executive Council of the Committee for Skeptical Inquiry.
