With greenhouse gases polluting the atmosphere, waste overflowing landfills and plastic contaminating our oceans, it’s never been more important to recycle.
Recycling helps to lessen the strain we’re putting on our planet and reduce our need for raw materials, so we can preserve natural resources. However, recycling isn’t as straight forward as separating plastic from paper; certain packaging needs to be recycled in a specific way — if they’re not, they get rejected and are sent to landfill sites. Luckily, there are symbols to help us identify what to put where — we break them down.
