Emma Barton, 41, is a stage and TV actor. Among other shows, she has appeared in Grease and Chicago on stage and Spooks on TV before taking on the role of Honey Mitchell in EastEnders. In 2018, she signed up to be part of Barbara’s Revolutionaries, a team made up of seven EastEnders cast members, together with Barbara Windsor’s husband Scott Mitchell, running the 2019 Virgin Money London Marathon for Dementia Revolution.
“I have personal experience of dementia, having lost my uncle to vascular dementia last year,” says Emma. “Barbara and Scott are also good friends of mine and I want to raise a lot of money for these amazing charities. I was daunted by the idea of a marathon but any challenge that I’ll experience pales in comparison to what people living with dementia and their carers withstand every day.”
