STAR LETTER NO HOLDING ME BACK
I find this article amazing (“I’ll Never Let ME Stop Me Running”) as I was diagnosed pretty much in the exact same way. It didn’t start with an illness or virus like most others – I simply trained for and ran the Great North Run in Sept 2015 after a period of stress, and literally crashed straight after. I spent six months extremely ill and have steadily been getting better since then. I’ve been back to exercising this year and have done well and been able to do gym classes but just three half-hour walks this last week have wiped me out. They haven’t done so to the extreme that they would have done at the start of falling ill but definitely wiped me out much more than three half-hour walks should do. I think maybe I will try doing a little bit every day instead. Fantastic to read that Shona is now doing well, and well done on the marathon!
