The Ware Poets Open Poetry Competition is open for entries for its 2016 contest.
The competition is for single poems up to fifty lines, in any style and on any subject. There is a first prize of £600, a second prize of £300 and a third prize of £150, plus the Ware Sonnet Prize of £150 for the best sonnet submitted.
All poems entered must be original and unpublished. Type poems on single sides of A4. The poet’s name must not appear on the manuscript. Either complete an entry form (which may be downloaded from the website), or include a separate sheet of paper with contact details and the titles of the poems being submitted. Entries for the Ware Sonnet Prize should be marked with an S in the top right-hand corner. They will also be considered for the main competition.
