US biannual literary journal Outlook Springs needs original, unpublished fiction, poetry, and nonfiction ‘tinged with the strange’. Its reading periods are 15 March-15 July and 15 September-15 January.
The editorial team loves creative nonfiction, up to 7,500 words, ‘memoirs, Montaigne-esque ramblings, travel narratives, lyrical essays, personal essays… and everything in between’. Traditional narratives are fine, but ‘nonlinear, experimental, or ‘so far out there that you don’t even know what it is’ writing, pushing the boundaries of form and genre, is always welcomed. Funny is good, if it’s real humour.
