BY JOHN JENSEN
I'm celebrating the publication of my twenty-fifth sir Arthur Rubicon novel. These days mosts fans just download but I suffer from authorial vanity. I put each succesive hardback on a shelf in the hall. Recently I had cause to take down the first the first volume at the request of an interested TV journalist. AS we flicked through the yellowed pages my eyes began watering, I started coughing and my throat constricted painfully. I had forgotten my allergy to old books and dust mites. My interviewer and the TV crew fled. Subsequently, I have presided over a bookburing orgy of my own 25 volumes sadly, in future I'll download , just like everyone else.
