The Author’s Journal of Inventive Literature aims to ‘serve the reading, publication, and imaginational needs of a certain underserved English-reading population’ – those who ‘love and delight in traditional language and literature’ and whose ‘vocabulary, syntax, and tastes are more expansive than strictly contemporary literacy’. Digest work and read the careful guidelines on the website, before submitting ‘poems, poetically-written essays, and stories (we consider fictional realism to be less inventive than “speculative fiction,” and will be less inclined to accept it.)’
The editors want ‘Literary Inventions’ which should be ‘original, interesting, aesthetically effective, and archetypally resonant’. Explore the language and its potential.
