A calendar is always handy to have around the house in order to keep track of dates, appointments, invites and more. Make sure you’re never left without one with this perpetual fabric calendar, which can be used over and over again.

1 Begin by making the bottom pocket. Cut a 33cm x 24cm piece of green cotton fabric and fold it in half to make one 33cm x 12cm rectangle. Place this to one side. Download and print the Painted Swallow design from Urban Threads and transfer it to a piece of calico fabric. Place the calico in an embroidery hoop and work over the design with an embroidery needle and thread. Once finished, cut around the outside of the design and pin it to the middle of the green fabric, then machine top stitch around the edge.
