Delivery Magazine  |  Issue 42 June - July 2012

The big news in this issue for June/July (Issue 42) is our quest to find the winners of the Delivery Magazine Best Van, Best Ute and Best People Mover Awards for 2012. You’ll find which we consider to be the best of the best inside and it makes for great reading.

The Ute segment will see a huge amount of change this year. Ford’s Ranger and Mazda’s BT-50 are the first of a new breed of utes with higher sophistication and correspondingly higher safety levels.

We are now well and truly able to buy five star safety in the ute market where, until the arrival of the Amarok, the best the industry could manage was four stars and the majority just scraped in with only three stars.

In the van market Renault has hit the sweet spot with its revised Master range. This is a seriously good contender in this segment which in turn has some more competition as Ford changes engines in the Transit to extend the appeal of its van range until a new model arrives next year.

The latest IVECO Daily offers buyers the only van on the market with a full truck-like chassis under the floor. It’s rear wheel drive throughout the range to maximise suspension ability as a load carrier and with new engines it’s an absolute delight to drive.

In this issue you’ll find all the usual comparative tests, new product releases and comparison charts by which you can find your ideal vehicle solution. But of course there’s more, including a visit to the Beijing Auto Show.

Thanks for joining us at Delivery Magazine.

Stay safe and enjoy the drive.
