Feeling lost
I’m feeling lost with my photography. I had so much enthusiasm when I started, however after three years I’m starting to stagnate and my confidence has dropped. How can I get it back on track? Helen Harris
It is normal to have times when you feel stuck. We believe some mentoring might help, Helen. Photographer and mentor Charlotte Bellamy says: “Mentoring for me is the sharing of knowledge and experiences, to help and encourage another individual/s to enable them to develop and grow with support and encouragement. It works best when the relationship is open and honest and all those involved feel that they trust each other. In practical terms it starts with an identification of what an individual would like to gain from the mentor experience, followed by discussions, goal setting, encouragement and reflection in an ongoing process. Mentoring can be as short as one session or can be an ongoing relationship over months or even years.
