Tig Notaro’s bad year

Four years ago, the life of stand-up comic, writer and actor Tig Notaro was turned upside down.

In a matter of weeks, she was hospitalised with the life-threatening intestinal disease C-Diff, lost her mother in a freak accident, and broke up with her girlfriend. And as if that wasn’t enough to deal with, she was then diagnosed with bilateral breast cancer. Talk about an annus horribilis.
