In addition to saving lives in her day job, Katie is an awesome LGBTQ+ activist who campaigns tirelessly for inclusion and diversity. Identifying as a lesbian who happens to have a trans history, Katie speaks openly about her personal experiences in an effort to help other people feel less alone. She regularly visits schools, runs workshops and takes part in conferences, challenging preconceptions and promoting acceptance wherever she goes.
