British DJ/producer Jax has been crowding dancefloors and creating toetappers since 2016 and, now, finally gets around to unleashing his debut album, the very edible, Snacks. From album opener House Work featuring gay pop wannabe MNEK to earlier hits like disco kiss-off You Don’t Know Me featuring Raye, the sprightly Play with Years And Years and the robotic-Eurodance of Instruction with Demi Levato, this is the perfect antidote to any global whining of recent years. Other guest stars to take a bite include Tove Lo, Bebe Rexha, Mabel, Jess Glynne and Ella Henderson. “Growing up I used to study anything my heroes Timbaland or The Neptunes had produced,” JJ told DNA. “I’ve had all types of ups and downs along the way and this album is the biggest achievement of all.” If that wasn’t enough, taste test the rapidly ascending Mr Jones in Australia in January during the FOMO Festival.
