Zero opposition!

It’s all change! A new showrunner presents a new Doctor, a new companion, new titles and a new TARDIS... but whatever will the old Time Team think?

THIS ISSUE Episode 757 – THE ELEVENTH HOUR

Doctor Who has always thrived on renewal, and The Eleventh Hour, the first of this brand-new series, promises some of the biggest changes yet. New Doctor! New showrunner! New companion! In fact, just about the only thing that hasn’t changed is the Time Team (we tried that once before, and a lot of people are still very angry about it). Emma, Will, Michael and Chris are plonked in front of the telly, ready to embrace the future.

“Woah!” cries Chris, as sparks fly in the TARDIS while it careers through the sky above London, and the new Doctor is left hanging by his fingertips to the ledge outside.

“Right back to where we left the Doctor a few months ago!” beams Emma.

The new Doctor: in trouble already.

“I think we could have skipped this sequence,” says Michael. “It might’ve been better to have a fresh start – straight in with new titles, just like in 2005.”

We find ourselves in the overgrown garden of a creepy old house, in which a young girl is praying to Santa about the crack in her bedroom wall, as the voices within are scaring the bejesus out of her.

“This is a fairytale in the making,” says Chris. “A girl praying for something to save her, and a mysterious blue box falls out of the sky. It’s pretty much every Doctor Who fan’s childhood dream come true!”

“Praying to Santa,” considers Michael. “Yes, I’m sure I did that.”

“What a dreadful landing!” laughs Will as the girl spots the TARDIS, flat on its back in the wreckage of a garden shed.
