Your views on everything going on in the hectic world of Doctor Who...

The cover star and main interviewee of the last issue of DWM was the one and only John Barrowman, who revealed his, ahem, secret plans to bring Torchwood back to our TV screens...

The Captain’s Log

CLAYTON SCOTT SAINT LOUIS

I loved your interview with the one and only John Barrowman. As someone who grew up only one State away from him, it was nice to see (and hear) him on Doctor Who. I think it is essential for people to be like John, to be true to themselves, and be comfortable with that. The article also made me revisit Torchwood and binge-watch it. Thank you, John, and here’s to another series of Torchwood sometime in the future!

An amazing interview with the legendary Captain Jack in DWM 505, but with his cosplay experience, surely he’s a dead cert for a live-action version of Captain Scarlet?

The interview with John Barrowman was very funny, and it was fascinating to hear about how Torchwood has changed over the last ten years and what John thinks of the series. It was also great that John cosplays – just like a geek should! I definitely agree with him about how fans should embrace their individuality and be proud of dressing up and wanting to be our own heroes. It meant a lot when he spoke about how Captain Jack has inspired fans, especially younger viewers. I was quite young myself when I first saw Jack, and I definitely think his presence within the series has made me more open to people of different cultures, regardless of gender, sexuality or ethnicity. I love it when people express their individuality and I think a tiny part of that is thanks to the Captain.
