► Marking International Women’s Day on 8 March, Jodie Whittaker and Mandip Gill posed for a photo before the TARDIS with female members of the Doctor Who production team (tinyurl.com/JodieIWD). Bradley Walsh also marked the occasion in his own inimitable way (tinyurl.com/BradleyIWD). Jodie, Pearl Mackie and Freema Agyeman were among female British entertainer signatories to a letter published by The Observer demanding action against sexism, inequality and harassment in the industry. Jodie was interviewed in The Sunday Times Magazine (18 March). She plays Emma in current cinema release Journeyman.
