A New Mission to the Unknown

UCLan’s recreated Mission to the Unknown rocket ship.

The 1965 Doctor Who story Mission to the Unknown, which is missing from the BBC archive, has been remade by students, sta_ and graduates at the University of Central Lancashire.

The single-episode adventure by Terry Nation, which acted as a prologue to The Daleks’ Master Plan (1965-66), is notable for being the only episode of Doctor Who to feature none of the regular cast. Instead, it focuses on the e_ orts of Space Security agent Marc Cory to warn Earth about an alliance of hostile alien powers, led by the Daleks.
