Doctor Who is back. With a two-part story that’s quite unlike anything the series has done before.
“It’s a global espionage thriller… with aliens!” says writer Chris Chibnall. “When agents around the world are attacked, the intelligence services suspect alien involvement. In those circumstances there is only one person they can turn to – and that’s the Doctor.” “What’s nice about doing a second season is that you can start kind of front-footed,” says Jodie Whittaker, who returns as the Thirteenth Doctor. “In the first season, because you’ve just regenerated and you’ve been given this new body, you’re still finding your feet. But this time I’m starting fully formed thanks to the tools that I’ve acquired over the last season.”
