References to Turlough being a presumably posh scion of one of the defeated “Imperial Clans” of Trion were eliminated from the final version of Part Four – despite the character’s privileged public school ‘origin’ in Mawdryn Undead (1983). The “very strange” London solicitor originally mentioned by Mawdryn’s headmaster (Angus MacKay) is now revealed to have been a Trion agent all along.
