“
I
must admit,” Adrienne Hill told Doctor Who Magazine in 1986, “I feel a bit of a fraud, having only been in five episodes.”
The year before, she’d appeared in a slightly chaotic companions line-up for the BBC’s Children in Need special, confessing that “Until then I never realised Doctor Who was so big!” It was a pleasant surprise for an actress whose tenure on the show was intended to be short even before she was signed up.
