SILENT HILL f
★★★★
PC, PS5, XBOX SERIES X|S
Shifting Silent Hill to 1960s Japan is a bold choice, but the anachronistic setting and folkloric monsters provide some of the most horrifying moments in the series’ history. Combat disappoints slightly, even accounting for schoolgirl protagonist Hinako’s comparative frailty in the face of unimaginable terrors, but with scares aplenty and a haunting score by Akira Yamaoka, Silent Hill f is a strong return to form.
