And in search of love as the shy wordsmith in Joe Wright’s Cyrano.

WITH GAME OF THRONES now firmly in the rearview mirror, Peter Dinklage is ready for something different. He finds it in Joe Wright’s Cyrano, where he plays the legendary French poet and swordsman (reprising his role from the Broadway musical originally written and directed by his wife, Erica Schmidt) — and belts out a few songs while he’s at it, to music written by members of the band The National. With a reboot of The Toxic Avenger (and a possible MCU return) on the horizon, Westeros feels a long way away.
Is Cyrano a long-running passion project for you? Yeah, it’s been following me around, or rather I’ve been following it, for years now.
