THERE’S EVIDENTLY AN epidemic of women getting possessed by evil aunts, mothers or great-grannies. If not, there must be a zeitgeist-related reason for three low-key psychodramas to tackle the theme just now. Perhaps it’s down to Hereditary — not so much plot-wise but in terms of powerhouse female actors getting roles which allow for more talent-flexing than the run of kidnapped daughter/wife roles they must tire of.
