Martin (Martin Clunes, right) wants to close down the Santa grotto in Portwenn because he thinks Father Christmas is going to pass on something germy, which definitely didn’t come from Santa’s workshop, to the town’s younger residents, including his son James.
Ghosts
The spectral residents of Button House rack their brains to think of a present for Alison when they find out she has left gifts for them before heading to Mike’s parents’ for Christmas.

It’s Christmas, and with the community still reeling from the train crash, Fred wants to raise money for the families affected. The new series begins on New Year’s Day.
