REAL-TIME CHARACTERS IN UNREAL ENGINE 5 Tackling large creatures without making them look like mindless beasts is a big challenge. With this character, I wanted to create something that had a powerful presence, but still felt like a person with everyday problems like running out of toilet paper. If you’re working on a similar project, be sure that you evaluate which aspects of the anatomy properly communicate the feeling you want the viewer to experience, and base the rest of your shape and design decisions on that goal. It’s hard to make something appealing out of a character that you want to be intimidating, but the results are well worth it if you succeed.
