Portuguese aircraft, crew, maintenance and insurance (ACMI) specialists euroAtlantic Airways has signed a three-month contract with Saudi Arabian charter carrier flynas for the wet-lease of two Boeing 767-300ERs for the annual Hajj pilgrimage. The jets, CS-TFS (c/n 25411) and CS-TFT (c/n 26208), were flown to King Abdulaziz International Airport, Jeddah, along with 88 support staff including crew members and engineering technicians, at the end of August in preparation for the launch of flights.
The Manchester Air Group and NATS have signed a new ten-year contract for air traffic control and engineering services at both Manchester and London/Stansted airports. The contract, which builds on the long-term working relationship between the two companies, will start on April 1, 2015.
British Airways will start using its 469-seat Airbus A380s on the London/Heathrow to San Francisco route from March 29, 2015. The UK airline, which took delivery of its seventh A380, G-XLEG (c/n 161) on September 11, will deploy the aircraft on five of its 14 weekly rotations between the two cities. This will be the third US and sixth global destination to be served by the carrier’s Superjumbo fleet.
