ALL NIPPON Airways (ANA) and Lufthansa Cargo are launching a new joint-venture cargo operation on routes between Japan and Europe. The move follows anti-trust approval from Japanese and European Union regulators. The partnership will see ANA and Lufthansa Cargo jointly manage activities including network planning, pricing, sales and handling on services between Asia and Europe. Both carriers aim to introduce joint shipments originating from Japan to Europe starting this winter, while operations in the other direction will start in mid-2015.
