Icelandair unveiled its first Airbus A321LR on September 9, when it left the Hamburg paint shop, wearing its test registration, D-AZXZ. The engines and seats are still to be installed, with the airline expected to take delivery in November when it will join the register as TF-IAA (c/n 12213). Configured with 22 business and 165 economy seats, the Reykjavik-based carrier expects to have four in service by summer 2025. The acquisition marks a shift for the airline, as it starts to retire its 14-strong fleet of Boeing 757s
