Pretty much everyone has a wideangle lens, even if it’s just their kit zoom. At a superficial level they’re ideal for getting more in the shot than you otherwise could – more view, more people in the group. But wideangles have distinctive visual characteristics that a skilled photographer can exploit to do a lot more than that. Whether it be emphasising leading lines, giving moreprominence to the foreground, or distorting perspective, there’s a lot you can do with a
