As the popularity of the vintage home look soars, so too do the events which focus on them. Judy Berger founded her Vintage Furniture Fleas seven years ago and credits their success to a tried and tested formula.
“I gather up to 50 eclectic vintage traders together, check them for affordable furniture and homewares from the 1950s onwards and set up shop for the day,” she says. “This flea celebrates the kitsch to the collectable, from Scandi minimalism to statement textiles and prints. Sideboards and bookcases, glass and ceramics, crockery and fabrics, radios, record players and posters are all part of what’s on offer. People now want in their homes something chic, unique and of good quality.”
