This RAF uniform is in a lot with items related to a Canadian fighter ace on offer in the Spink April 25-26 auction.
To mark the centenary of the founding of Royal Air Force, London auction house Spink is holding a special public exhibition featuring medals and relics on loan from prominent collectors.
The show, from April 17-24 in its gallery in Southampton Row, Bloomsbury, is being held ahead of a dedicated RAF section in the April 25-26 Orders, Decorations and Medals sale. Items on display include Flight Lieutenant William Reid’s Victoria Cross, awarded for his role as a pilot in Bomber Command in 1943.
