THE PLANNED new Campbeltown Grammar School has moved closer to reality as the turf-cutting ceremony was held.
Pupils and parents joined council staff, councillors, project partners and contractors last Monday morning to mark the official start of the project.
South Kintyre councillor Rory Colville, also Argyll and Bute Council’s policy lead for education, said: ‘This new £26 million school will help equip our children for the future, by providing them with a fabulous facility in which they can learn and succeed, be ambitious and realise their full potential.’
