Christmas lights stress unfair

It was really sad to read the report in last week’s Argyllshire Advertiser regarding this year’s Christmas lights.

The committees which organise these are, presumably, all volunteers who give considerable time and effort to make this a success. Not only do they fundraise, but organise the purchase, planning, switch-on event and everything else that goes along with this. The report does assure us that the switch-on in the various places all happened, except Campbeltown, I believe, but the stress these committees were put under was not fair.
