Inveraray history buffs enjoy Highand cattle presentation

THE SEASON got off to a flying start for Inveraray and District History Society with a fascinating presentation on Highland cattle.

The engrossing talk and video by Una Cochrane was entitled On the trail of an ancient breed and members learned all about the origins of Highland Cattle which have been bred from the Wild Ox which roamed the land thousands of years ago mixed with shorthorn cattle.

Highland cattle expert Archie McArthur with a good modern example of the breed.
