A PERTHSHIRE woman who helped safeguard the future of a well-known Argyll site has been nominated for a national award.
Jess Smith took up the cudgels on behalf of the Tinkers’ Heart near Cairndow after seeing the site a number of years ago in what she believed was a neglected state.
Given the importance of the site to Scottish Travellers, Jess set out, with the help of local people and others, to do something about it.
