ON A beautiful spring afternoon over 90 people attended the Heart of Argyll Wildlife Organisation’s visitor centre opening event at Barr an Daimh in Knapdale.
Some visitors enjoyed the short walk from Barnluasgan car park around the edge of the loch and up towards the Bellanoch view point, while others took the opportunity to drive in and use the new car park next to the centre.
The main building was bustling with folk of all ages for last Saturday’s opening, enjoying activities from litho printing to identifying creatures in tanks containing pond water, and checking out things in miniature under the microscope. Children made badges and recreated animal footprints in sand, while older ones helped to make a hazel hurdle screen.
