Karen Bell has been drawing and making art since the tender age of four, progressing to take an art O’ Level at the age of 12 and an A’ Level when just 14 going on to study design at Durham University.
Originally from County Durham, she visited Arran with her family for the first time two years ago and eventually moved here early this year. Her passion for paper cutting started two years ago when creating a gift for her husband. She has gone on to make some striking and very intricate pieces of art in this media, influenced by everything around.
Some of this will be displayed in the library exhibition space until December 1 so why not go along and have a look. All works are for sale so if anyone is searching for an unusual and beautiful gift they need look no further!
