Angela Proctor, author of the magical Thumble Tumble series of books set on Arran, is lending her support to a campaign aimed at preventing library closures during National Libraries Week.
Following the closure of around 45 public libraries in Scotland in the last two years, and at least 449 across the nation since 2012, Angela is working with more than 50 libraries across Scotland, including Arran Library in Brodick, to deliver a series of exclusive personal appearances and magical giveaways including 150 books.
Using the power of her Thumble Tumble book series, which features in Visit Scotland’s National Storybook trail, she hopes to remind people of the vital importance of libraries for well-being and bringing communities together.
