Writers on Arran and across Ayrshire are invited to take part in the annual Robin Whyte Creative Writing competition which is held in memory of the much respected Irvine lawyer, the late Robin Whyte, who was a talented creative writer himself.
An appropriate trophy in the form of an open book crafted locally in oak and ash plus a generous cash prize of £200 is on offer for a piece of prose or poetry by a writer, Ayrshire based or born, aged 16 or over.
There has been an encouraging response to previous topics, and this year’s theme was inspired by recent discussions concerning the future of Glasgow School of Art.
