The owner of the Port of Troon has questioned the credibility of the report advising the Scottish Government on the future of the Arran ferry.
Associated British Ports (ABP) has written to the government, highlighting major failings in the report and calling on transport minister Humza Yousaf to under take further study before making a final decision.
Last month the government’s long-awaited STAG report favoured retaining Ardrossan as the mainland port for the Arran ferry, but the main players had until Monday of this week to respond.
