Football furore

Football may only be a game but tempers can run high. Following last Saturday’s Cup Final between Shiskine and Cameronia, the losing team, Cameronia, feel they have been badly treated and are demanding loudly that there be a replay. Played at Brodick, Shiskine won the match by three goals to two. There does not appear to have been any ill feeling between players but the Cameronia team, initially unhappy that the referee was a former Shiskine player, felt as the game progressed that his decisions were not always seen to be fair. The referee is an experienced referee trained to Scottish Football Association standards and feels that he is comfortable with the task and the decisions he made.
