The joy of young riders wins photography prizes for David

An Arran resident has been awarded two prizes in a prestigious annual UK-wide photography contest run by a leading charity.

Judges at the Riding for the Disabled Association (RDA) rated the images by amateur snapper David Kelso second and third in separate categories.

David, of Sannox, said: ‘The news came as a huge surprise – and a delightful one.

‘I had been invited along last summer to a Saturday morning session of Arran’s RDA group by one of their volunteer stalwarts, Janis Heaney, to take some pictures of the children during their riding lessons.
