Gary is a hit at charity dinner

Top chef Gary Maclean was the guest speaker at the second successful HIT the Rock dinner which was held at The Douglas Hotel in Brodick on Saturday night.

The event was a fundraiser for the Hospitality Industry Trust (HIT) Scotland, a charity whose mission is to assist people to achieve their potential within Scottish hospitality. The 80 guests were piped in by young James Reid of Lamlash, to a drinks reception sponsored by Kin-loch Hotel. They then received table gifts from Arran Distillers, before enjoying a delicious fourcourse dinner provided by The Pierhead Tavern (starter), Auchrannie Resort (main course), Brakes and Taste of Arran (dessert and cheeseboard). Tea and coffee were served with James of Arran chocolates
