Lottery scam

People on the island should be made aware of a scam circulating, in my case in the form of a letter advising me of having won £325,000 on the People’s Postcode Lottery.

The letter gave me a name and a phone number to call after which, I was told, their agents in London would immediately process and facilitate the release of my funds as soon as possible once I had paid my processing fee. I would receive my winnings in the form of a certified cheque or, if I request, by bank transfer directly into my bank account.
