The carcass of a female Minke whale washed up on the shore at Whitefarland last week.
The carcass, first sighted and reported to the Scottish Strandings Scheme at Carradale, floated across the sea and onto the shore at Whitefarland where it showed signs of having become entangled in something.
Arran Ranger Service has issued a reminder to people of what to do in the event of finding a dead or stranded marine animal.
