Prodical dog

A four-day search for a missing Cavalier King Charles spaniel ended in joy.

When three-year-old Bonzo disappeared on Kildonan beach, while they were walking their three spaniels, owners Jean and Jim Bentley feared the worst. He could have been trapped in a hole or even washed out to sea.

They scoured the area with son Christopher but to no avail. Many friends, some with dogs of their own, also searched the beach and cliffs in both directions and notices were posted in shops and bars around the southend.
