The Kildonan fun week kicked off the summer events last weekend with Taiko drumming taster sessions at the village hall in Sunday. The following day visitors and children enjoyed a guided National Trust, Scotland walk on the Kildonan sea shore, which was followed by irresistible cream tea’s provided by the Kildonan Women’s Institute ladies.
The popular four mile Kildonan fun run on Tuesday took runners on a tour of the village with both children and adults taking part in the more-fun-than-competitive event, followed by the car treasure hunt on Thursday with the reward of a barbeque at the end of the event.
Today (Saturday) villagers and visitors will congregate on the beach for the sports on the beach event which starts at 2pm and which will be followed by with a mystery film night where friends, families and visitors - along with nibbles and drinks - enjoy a surprise feature film in the village hall.
