Continuing the long programme of events, Whiting Bay then picks up the mantle with a week of fun events centered around the village. Synonymous with the village, the raft race and barbeque starts tomorrow (Sunday) followed by the Bay Queen crowning and a host of family friendly events which include a bouncy castle, climbing wall, family bowling and a large tombola.
Monday July 16, when the sun always shines, adult picnickers and children meet for an enjoyable teddy bears picnic on the putting green where friends, young and old, meet and enjoy the company of friends, neighbours, good food and pleasant surroundings. The following day children can enjoy a beach scramble led by the knowledgeable and friendly people from the Community of Arran Seabed Trust.
