Lord-Lieutenant honoured in New Year’s list

The Lord-Lieutenant of Ayrshire and Arran, John Duncan has been recognised by the Queen in her New Year’s Honours List.

Mr Duncan was appointed a Commander of the Royal Victorian Order (CVO) for his personal service to the Queen and the royal family. Following a distinguished career in the police, Mr Duncan was appointed Lord-Lieutenant in 2006, having previously served as a Deputy Lieutenant since 2001. He lives in Stewarton.
